This is a beautiful book. George does not feel like she is George. She is Melissa. Unfortunately, she cannot tell anyone. This is bad, because she really wants to be Charlotte from Charlotte's Web in the school play. Not Wilbur.
For children who are unsure of themselves, or know that they are different, this is beautiful. I will be honest though, everything goes a little too perfectly. I'm guessing that coming out that you are transgendered is not that easy in real life.

Great book, quick read, absolutely worth the time. I’ve never read a book on this topic and it was really enlightening to be put in the perspective and go through the experience of a transgender child. It’s eye-opening and I am definitely better for having read the book.
