Yes, I finally got around to reading this one, and I can definitely understand all the hype surrounding it! It's a beautifully heartbreaking story about life and love with wonderfully developed characters. As a friend of someone who is a quadriplegic, I feel a much greater understanding for him after reading this. It was an incredibly insightful and eye-opening read, albeit sad.

I think the only reason I'm NOT giving it five stars is because it's been taking me forever to get through books these

I loved this book. In the beginning, I didn't think it was my cup of tea, and almost put it down. I am so glad I didn't. I was fearing a trite, superficial love story, and this book did not turn into that. I feel it was a real love story, with hopefully, an uplifting life changing ending for Louisa. ...more

I "liked" this book, but am conflicted. On the one hand, it was a real tear-jerker, which I am a sucker for, and it had a love story, also a sucker, and loads of information on the disabled and how their lives are lived. On the other hand, the writing was just ok, and the message that, even though someone loves and is loved is not enough, irked me to say the least. So, liked with reservations. Also, disappointed as had many people tell me this is the best book they ever read. Eh... Not sure I wi ...more

I loved this book, couldn't wait to get home from work every day to read it. My favorite part was when Will and Louisa went to Alicia's wedding. What great characters, especially Nathan, Will's mother, and Louisa's parents. This book will stay with me for a long time. Live Well! ...more

I didn't finish it in time for book club and after learning how the story would progress, I had to bow out of reading this book. Frankly, I didn't want to ride the emotional roller coaster. Enough said; I won't spoil it for you. ;-) ...more
