I really enjoyed this and so happy I read it since it’s been on my list for a couple years. I love Shonda Rhimes’ TV Shows: Private Practice, Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal. My favorite parts of this book are when she talked about storylines or characters from her shows. She writes a lot of her own personal stuff into the storylines and characters. Thoughts:
As someone who knew very little about Shonda Rhimes at the start of this book, I finished it giving major props to this woman. The Year of Yes was a great concept for a book and I appreciated Shonda's humor and vulnerability. I chuckled a lot. The parts that resonated with me were her experiences as a mother who also has a full-time job. I thought Shonda was deeply relatable and had an engaging voice for this narration.
