[close] One of my co-workers recommended this book and I loved it. Evan Dawson writes a wonderful history of the Finger Lakes wine region. Many of the local wineries and vineyards are mentioned along with the owners and wine makers. I was inspired to purchase one of the wines he mentioned and loved it!

Being relatively new to the Rochester/Finger Lakes region, I picked this book up after a few casual wine tours on Seneca Lake. It was definitely more about the winemakers as people than the region itself, but still an interesting perspective on the growth of the industry that often does not get enough credit for the wine they produce. I recognized a lot of the wineries included and have added several to my list for future wine tours. My only critique is that like going on a wine tour with one to ...more
