So, where do I start? I liked checking in with this family and seeing what has transpired over the years; HOWEVER, I wanted so much more. This book felt very surface to me, and I needed more meat an potatoes from these characters!
In the first book, I felt like we were able to see depth in these characters, and this one was lacking that, but I still REALLY enjoyed Sarah Addison Allen's style of writing. I love her drops of magic! ...more

I enjoyed my visit with the Waverly's. The book started slowly for me at first, and I found the man in the gray suit a little creepy. I loved Bay's story, and the way Claire and Sydney came together as sisters. Ironically, I started this book on my Kindle and it did not grab me. I switched to a hard copy of the book, and flew through the last 2/3. Maybe a little Waverly magic at work in the pages?
