If religion makes you squeamish, don't pick this one. The author tells the story of her survival of the Rwandan genocide, where she depended heavily on faith to carry her through. I found the book hard to put down. The cruelty of humanity once mob-mentality sets in is horrifying, but the ability of some to overcome hatred is amazing.
