This book is really funny. I was laughing by the first page, when Sheila Rae appears to be licking a spider.
Sheila Rae is very brave. She walks backwards with her eyes closed. She confronts the school bully. She growls at dogs.
"'I am very brave,' Sheila Rae said, patting herself on the back."
All of that changes though when she finds herself in an unfamiliar place and is rescued by an unexpected helper.
