What Members Thought
First, I really enjoyed reading the book, for the most part the style was very familiar as was the writing. On the other hand, I had some difficulties with the book. In reading it, I felt that the book was out of the proper time. The author has been dead for a number of years, but the book was new, so I had difficulty placing it in the right context. Imagine if Tom Sawyer was just published today. You would see the writer's descriptions, characterizations, etc., as somewhat strange. That was how
