I gave this one 2.5 stars. Honestly, I don't know what to say. There were a few moments that I laughed at something in the plot line but overall I found my mind drifting off and wondering who would play the next Ranger in a Stephanie Plum movie.
To summarize this story... it will be difficult so hold on: Stephanie's car blows up, her and Lula eat junk food, someone calls Lula fat, Steph flip flops between Ranger and Morelli, psychos come after Steph, and her grandmother causes havoc somewhere.

Stephanie Plum is back for her 19th book! This time she has to find Geoffrey Cubbin. A man about to go on trial for embezzling. He mysteriously disappears from the hospital after undergoing emergency surgery. She also takes on a side job of escorting Ranger to a wedding and finds herself as a bridesmaid.

If she hadn't been so amazing before I think I'd be more understanding and bump this to a 3. But she was amazing...and now Stephanie's story is just worn out. I think 18 was much better as I still laughed a bit, but I was really let down about 19. I think the saddest thing is that I'm to the point where I don't care too much anymore about what is going to happen to Stephanie. Can't say much about this series. It is what it is. I am happy to report that I didn't mind reading this one though (and it only takes a few hours). Finally, an installment where Janet did not make Morelli look like a wimp who allows his girlfriend to walk all over him.

Same old Stephanie. I liked this one, but it wasn't quite as funny as they usually are. I wonder how many more of these she will write.

One of my favs. Lula helping Stephanie get the body ticket at the police station at the end of the book was so funny.
