Kind of a pity 3-star. I think 3 stars is more than it deserves but 2 is less, so...
First thing you should know: like 90% of this book is just the main characters running. Like I mean literally running.
The writing is good, no doubt about that (except the forced suspense--I hate when authors withhold info that the main character knows...it's just lazy writing). The narration was well done and I liked the premise overall. I also thought Todd, Viola, and Manchee were all good characters.

Shelves: want-to-reread

4 stars- audiobook version. I really enjoyed some aspects of this book and it was a good start to the series. I thought the style of the writing was interesting and worked well with the setting. I'm still not sure what genre this is and some parts of this book I still don't really get- a lot of the explanations for things didn't really make sense to me and it seemed like people's motivations for doing things a lot of the time was "well they're kinda crazy", so that could have been done better in ...more
