So this book was pretty great.
I only wish the two lovers would have been together more from the start. They really very much apart for the first half of the book. In fact, the entire first half of the book was just a little slow. I didn't even start having real commentary for this book until I reached nearly the half way mark.
A new love story unfolded between two others and while that was cute to see, I wanted my main people to have their story continue.

I think that this is an excellent ending to such a beautiful series. The first book shows how and why Shazi falls for Khalid but I'll always love The Rose and the Dagger because it shows why they're a good match for each other. A lot of the first book includes Shazi grappling with her conflicting feelings, but as this book has multiple perspectives, Shazi and Khalid become more believable as a couple.
I'll always hate one tiny thing about The Rose and the Dagger, ...more

I'm completely speechless. I don't know how Renee Ahdieh does it, but she does. Once again, she brought us a spectacular read.
I don't necessarily cry when I read books, (okay, maybe I do) but The Rose and the Dagger brought a well of emotions, sad tears than sad tears again and then happy tears. I'm still trying to calm my tangled knot of emotions. ...more
