Once again, I am dead at the brilliant hands of Sarah J. Maas. I feel like a broken record praising this author left and right, but I mean come one! Look what she's done to me!

I have chills. Omg. This series and its characters is everything. *bows down to Queen Maas* - just. Wow. Epic doesn't even begin to cover it. I feel so invigorated and alive. And heartsick. And now I can't wait to fall in love with ACOMAF and QoS <3

The series really takes a turn with this book, it kinda goes in a new direction. And it's pretty good, really interesting. You get so much information in this book it's almost overwhelming. The series really takes a turn with this book, it kinda goes in a new direction. And it's pretty good, really interesting. You get so much information in this book it's almost overwhelming. It builds up so much and then ends in an absolutely epic cliffhanger that literally has you grinding your teeth. Loved what happened in this book. While the pace is a little slower and sometimes I got a little annoyed by all the Manon chapters - there were just a little too many - it was still an immensely enjoyable book and some parts in particular were just mind blowing. The story develops so much and the plot thickens even more in this book. And there is so much character development from beginning to end, you almost go back and think 'Are these even the same characters?' These books are written so beautifully and the characters are just developed so amazingly and it feels like they will never stop growing. All the characters have so much depth, it takes ages just to explain about one! The story is amazing! The plot is so thick, suspenseful and action packed, it just demands you make your own guesses and theories and then read to find out! There is no end to the epicness of this series. Love it so much.

There were many thing I loved in this book. The developed friendship between - should I call her Celaena or Aelin here - I'm gonna say Celaena, and Rowan was so beautiful, love that beautiful strong bond. That scene with Maeve and that near the end with the blood oath and all, wow really didn't expect that, it was great. So glad Celaena has a true friend like that who understands her and loves her for who she is and even everything she's been through. I LOVED how Celaena got all the tattoos on her back, her scarred back, about all her dead loved ones, the stories of her parents and Nehemia and Sam! Oh gosh I almost cried when I read that she put Sam on there! I've never cried at a book yet (within reason that is, since I was a younger kid) but I bet it will be a ToG book that will break that record. However I have to say, while I like Rowan's character, he really doesn't faze me all that much. I don't find him super hot or swoon worthy, he's just, fine I guess, haha. I know, my tastes are unique to say the least. I am all Dorian in this!

OH MY GOD DORIAN!!! OH MY GREAT GOD! Dorian's sacrifice was one of the most beautiful I have ever read. Oh my God! His friendship with Chaol, OMG Sorscha! I loved her so much more than I expected - I was kinda spoiled for this book I knew about the collar and that Sorscha died and stuff - I grew to love Sorscha so much even though I knew I'd regret it. So sad! She and Dorian belonged together! Oh gosh I liked her so much. And poor poor Dorian though. How could his father do that to him?! Oh my God that cliffhanger. I've read that scene like so many times. It's one of my top favourites. So absolutely epic and heart wrenching. Oh my God! If Dorian doesn't live by the end by the end of the series I swear I will cry for a month! I wish so much that Sorscha didn't die too. Dorian MUST get out of that collar alive! Chaol must get back to Celaena and they MUST rescue him! Him and Aedion. That damn cliffhanger Oh my God!

One last thing. Initially I hated Manon. Her introductory chapter was really unsettling. By the end I grew to her a little, but still don't love her. I don't care for her that much. My feelings may change, but it will take some convincing.

Finally, it's a 9/10 for Heir of Fire. This book was so great. Beautifully written, awesome plot and awesome characters and absolutely love all the world building. There was just one tiny flaw with this and that was that the beginning was a little slow. It wasn't as absolutely mind blowing as CoM but regardless an extremely satisfying and worthwhile read. Especially loved the ending, and such an epic cliffhanger. Loved this book. ...more

Heir of Fire was unfathomably good. It is filled with a trillion twists and turns. I felt like I couldn't read it fast enough

This book isn't my favourite in the series. It was unbelievably slow and it took time for me to appreciate and like new characters.

However the long character development and layering of these new characters definitely paid off as the impact of the incredible twists at the end were more emotional. ...more

No matter what happened, in the next book that thing should be destroyed. I want that gone. Please!

Oh and Sorcha and Dorian's relationship? No. Absolutely no. I hated it, hated the moment when she had said she loved him. I do not support it. The only reason(as much as evil it sounds) I was sad was that Dorian grief, and the whole sentece of "As if he could put her back together again" sort of stuff. But other than that? I didn't like--hated-- the moment of them together. Sure, she kept their secrets and all, she made him happy but man, I was agaisnt it. I know I'm evil.

Man, Rowan! Dayummm! I love him. Still, why didn't she take him with her???Also, that ending of his silver feather touching her cheeks for farewell...aww.. and that freaking moment of him carrying her when she 'burnt out' was so aww.. I loved that moment!

And then there's Aedion! His undying loyalty! So excited for more of him. Them being friends and him loving her so much. I don't ship them being romantic. They're better of as friends and all. And that he should be rescued! He should be. Please.

And then, Celeana's character development is amazing. I love her even better, all her hardship and everything she went through brought tears to my eyes. Words cannot describe how much I love her.

Celeana and Rowan's realtionship was wonderful. I love every moment of it. Every single effin' thing! I love it!

So many things. Awesome things. I really really wish which I hope would come true that that son of a gun would die and by that I mean the King, in the most horrible way.

I don't know if I'm team Chaol, or Dorian, or Aedion, or Rowan. I'm in between. But still, maybe I favor Chaol more.... Okay, I'm team Celeana.
This series, holy hell. Why did I not read them earlier??? So excited to what's about to happen!!
THey're a piece of heaven. Ahh... I'm dying.. it's only been a few minutes since I've finished reading the book and now I don't know what to do.. So good. So wonderful. All the praise! Its climbed its way to my favorties!
