Short Review:
There was so much hype around this book, and to a point, i can see why but it didn't live up to that hype for me.
First, this book is told from a crap ton of POVs and i loved that. Only issue, the year or month would change from chapter to chapter, i tried to keep up with that, but i failed and it all kinda blended together.
Second, i was hoping for a better ending, it was nice, but wayy too neat for my liking. I won't spoiler.
Overall, it was alright, not the big 5 star everyone is sa ...more

DNF at like 80%...I may pick this up in a couple months out of boredom, but for the same reason I just can't keep going....honestly the first 30% I LOVED this book = the circus is intriguing, Celia and Marcus are interesting characters BUT as it keeps going nothings really making sense, its super slow, and I honestly couldn't care less about the "competition" eh.....

This book is very slow moving and I found myself bored at points. If you love a slow moving story filled with lots of description, this is for you. I wish there were more moments with the two lead protagonists together because they have so much chemistry and those moments are what you are waiting for. The last 100 pages made the book. Other than that I felt disappointed.

I'm just glad i'm done with this. seemed endless. Great idea for a story. great Narator, AKA Jim dail. Great writing. I don't know what made it just a three for me, but alas.

I liked how there were sub-plots focusing on the minor characters in the novel aside from Marco and Celia's relationship-slash-"rivalry", and I thought that gave the minor characters importance. I felt like I was watching a fantasy soap opera set in a circus.
