This book was so exciting!! I loved the movie (having watched it only very recently) and was surprised and happy to learn that there was a book version. So I bought the book and started reading and had the very strong sense of deja vu. The book and the movie are so similar. Of course there are things in the book that do not take place in the movie but they are equally thrilling and wonderful. Actual rating 4.8 stars.
The story has become such a comfort to me, ever since watching it for the first time a few years ago. It has everything you need!
While I enjoy the book, I’ll always have a soft spot for the film.
Besides, the film is so close in terms of the pacing and scenes, it’s hard for me to differentiate between the two (fun fact; Goldman wrote the screenplay!)
I haven’t read the physical book in a while, so it’s no surprise that I didn’t remember all the narrator commentary. Spec ...more

Obviously, I loved the movie better (the story was more suited for this format), but it was still excellent, and very funny, and I loved it very much, although I'm not sure if I'd read another book from this author ;).

This is one book that can make you cry and laugh, anxious and excited, and all the other opposite adjectives at the same time. I've never faced so many conflicting emotions before in my life.
It's amazing what William Goldman has done. He's made this book an entirely unique one and no one is ever going to be able to capture the same soul of the story ever again. It's a pity I didn't read it sooner. And a joy that I eventually got around to it. ...more
