Spellbinding storytelling and vivid imagery drew me in and kept me captivated throughout; the intertwined lives of two different, yet similar, characters allowed me to escape reality for a short while.
I was totally in awe of Marie-Laure's strength and determination in light of her circumstances. The writing-style accurately captured how lonesome sightlessness must be, but at the same time how someone can rise above that challenge and positively impact the lives of others, even strangers.
