Tiene alguna parte interesante, pero me ha gustado bastante poco en general, a la historia le ha faltado emoción, me ha parecido bastante superficial.

Pues... no ha estado mal.

1- La historia. Entretenida sin más. Al estar escrito en forma de cartas, se pierde mucha información por el camino. Aun así habla de la ocupación alemana pero de forma muy superficiel y no demasiado traumatice. Lo dicho, le falta profundidad. No es una historia para hacerte llorar ni reír.

2-Los personajes. Lo mejor del libro. Sobretodo Isola. Se llega a saber muy poco de ellos y lo que se va sabiendo se intuye (como por ejemplo la sexualidad de Sidney). Aun así Isola e ...more

Un corta-pega de libros del mismo tema. Se eres aficionado a la literatura inglesa puedes hacerte un trivial mientras lees en plan "este me recuerda a...." Es evidente que la autora tenía un gusto lector muy definido y fue cogíendo elementos que le habian gustado, encajasen o no. El resultado me recordaba a una Stella Gibbons sin gracia. Me ha parecido un producto editorial pensado para agradar, pero sin ninguna sustancia. Un estilo de literatura amable y edulcorada que sinceramente, a mi no me ...more

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society is a historical book set just after the end of WWII in the UK and Guernsey. It is an epistolary novel, completely different to what I am used to reading. I was a bit worried at the beginning but I was happily surprised and loved it!

The characters stole my heart and reading their stories was heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. It is an emotional read and the writing really made me feel that I was the one receiving the ...more

Me ha encantado. Una historia muy recomendable para los amantes de la lectura y de los personajes entrañables. Una historia muy tierna que en realidad es un canto de amor a la literatura. Una lectura sumamente grata :)
