I read this book with my son and we both enjoyed greatly this story about an orphaned boy looking to get a connection with his dead father through a mechanical man.
Favorite character: Etienne followed closely by Hugo's father.
Least favorite character: Hugo's uncle.
Favorite part: I liked better the second part of the book. As a bonus, awoke curiosity in my son and he went on to investigate about George Méliès and life in Paris and early movies and he's now asking for more Selznick books; fortunat ...more
