Hermosa lectura ambientada en el sureste americano a inicios del siglo XX, donde la pequeña Scout nos lleva de la mano a través de las páginas, para ser parte de las vivencias y desigualdades sociales de un tiempo atrás.
Cada personaje tiene su encanto, me gustó particularmente Atticus, que con una admirable e inagotable paciencia siempre encontraba el modo de enseñar sobre la moral, equidad, justicia e igualdad con el mejor ejemplo posible, un modelo a seguir.

For a really long time I've been meaning to read this book but I never got around to it. Now, there's not really much I could say about this book but I will say I loved it. It was a good portrayal of the times, how racism was so normal and accepted back then. Sadly, racism isn't over and there's still much to do in that regard.

Favorite character: Scout and Atticus.
Least favorite character: the Ewells, specially Bob.

My opinion:
Scout is a little girl, around 6, living in a southern town of Alabama: Monroeville. She lives with his middle-age lawyer widowed father Atticus and his older brother Jem. It is a normal town from 1930’s, the big depression has just passed, and the town is living by themselves. For Scout, that normal life will change soon. El punto de vista de Scout es una de las cosas más bonitas que uno puede leer en la vida. Fresca, sencilla pero también dura deja claro la falsa moral imperante a principios del siglo XX. Una obra maestra. Por sus personajes, por sus frases demoledoras, por su contexto, escrito de una forma excelsa se merece ese título.
