Qué libro tan duro, pero, al mismo tiempo muy interesante. La caída en la locura de Esther, que en unos meses pasa de ser una alumna estrella a ser una más del montón, y que además pierde a su padre y se lleva su primer desengaño amoroso, es rápida pero inexorable. Escuchar en primera persona sus tratamientos de electro shock pone los pelos de punta.

Overall thoughts
As a whole, I believe that The Bell Jar is one of the best-written novels I’ve ever come across, a true testament to the beauty of the written word. While I really enjoyed the novel as a whole, I understand that not everyone is going to enjoy the novel, in particular, due to the overall slow pace and due to the difficulty that some readers might have in understanding or being able to relate to the protagonist.
