Es un relato muy breve, de poco más de 30 páginas que merece la pena que leamos dos, tres y las veces que haga falta, en mi caso -de momento- han sido dos y las disfruté de diferente manera: la primera me sorprendió por la forma en que estaba escrita, era previsible lo que pasaría pero aún así me llegaban cada una de sus frases y me iba impactando cada vez más. Una increíble narración dónde Charlotte explica muy clara la situación de la mujer en el siglo 18. Cómo siempre fuimos subestimadas y manipuladas, tratando de evitar que tomaramos las tiendas de nuestras vidas más allá del hogar.
Short but very compelling. I heard people calling this a "horror short story" and even though it quite doesn't fit the genre i can see why they put it in that spot. the glaring manipulation and firm grip the husband has on the author is palpable through the narration, and even more disturbing than the mental illness adn hallucination aspect of it.
