I think one can never review a book like this one. Is there anything left to say? Even the author, Mr. Wiesel, mentions on the preface that for years after the liberation, he could not bring himself to write, because he didn’t know what to say, how to say it and if it was worth it. What a powerful book to read and how relevant it is today with the human rights violations the Syrians are experiencing under Assad, much like the Jews did under Hitler. There were sections that left me dumbfounded and shocked that human will can be extended that far. I've read so many history books about WWII but nothing painted a clearer picture than this memoir. This shall remain as a humanity must read.
