It is an interesting story, a good intro of the past of the main character Kvothe, his childhood, years as street child, and university years. Also little hints of the main antagonist the Chandrain. It is interesting enough that you want to read the next book to see what happens and how Kvothe ended being an innkeeper.
But even with its good adventure parts, the book feels incomplete.
