What Members Thought

Evie gets in trouble for playing a party trick in her hometown so she's sent to New York to live with her uncle until things calm down. City life is what Evie craves but soon she finds herself in the middle of a murder investigation when her uncle Will is called as an Occult themes' expert.
Favorite character: The obvious choice would be Evie, being the main character, but I'm leaning more towards Memphis with a close second in Theta. All in all, the whole array of characters is interesting.

Well, wasn't it a slow read. The pace of this book was painful, and the story dragged on forever. It had certain elements that could've made a super interesting story (all the Diviners stuff, basically), but Bray decided to put them aside and never explore them. In fact, we have little information about what the Diviners are, and what they're supposed to do. I probably won't be continuing with this series, considering I was thoroughly bored with this installment.
