This book was a breakthrough for me because if a book had a character with depression I always struggled to understand them. I have not suffered from depression -that I know- so I find it so difficult to comprehend that kind of behavior.

Leído para el Club de Lectura de Hogwarts Chile
Me encanta estar leyendo cosas tan diversas y doy gracias por haber llegado a este libro finalmente, aunque fuera por la fuerza (porque lleva en mi TBR eñe tiempo, desde que decidí hacer el Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge).
Me gustó mucho leer esta historia, primero porque al ser semi-autobiográfica la hacía muy real y segundo porque aprendí muchas cosas leyéndolo.

Overall thoughts
As a whole, I believe that The Bell Jar is one of the best-written novels I’ve ever come across, a true testament to the beauty of the written word. While I really enjoyed the novel as a whole, I understand that not everyone is going to enjoy the novel, in particular, due to the overall slow pace and due to the difficulty that some readers might have in understanding or being able to relate to the protagonist.
