I liked this book but feel like my expectations were a little high because of the show based on the books. It just left me with the feeling that it was poorly written. I wanted more from the story and the characters in the story. I am curious as to what the rest of the story holds but don't know if I will read any more of this series ...more

I originally read this about 5-6 years ago and I loved it. I recently read a book consisting of short stories that included one by Charlaine Harris which gave me the urge to read this again. I own the first 5 books so I figured why not?

Well, I definitely didn't enjoy it as much as I did the first time. Maybe that's because of True Blood. All I know is that I despise Bill's character and Sookie isn't much better. She's a bit annoying.
