What Members Thought
Had a hard time with this one. The original decisions were so clearly wrong, I had a hard time sympathizing with characters as, I believe, I was intended to at times. There were also points where I felt the authorial voice was intrusive - particularly in some of the sections which focused on grief and felt like they could have come straight from a grief counselor. This book broke my heart. And just when I thought the pieces were too small to do anymore damage, they shattered again and again.
