What a story! Mr. Sanderson deliveries again! Just to give you an idea, I'm struggling to not give a 5 star on this one.
The story is about a thief and Forger on the Empire called Shai. She is captured and offered a deal: her life or a job to save the Emperor and the Empire itself.
Just this small description would be enough to hook me, but the main character is so good that I'm not doing justice to her here.

Dadas as devidas proporções, é realmente uma história muito boa. Talvez ler esse livro imediatamente após The Way of Kings (tipo, terminar um em um dia de manhã e pegar esse no mesmo dia a noite) tenha tirado um pouco o brilho, mas acho que o Sanderson fez uma história tão boa quanto dava pra fazer com o número reduzido de páginas. A protagonista é uma personagem excelente (chuta a bunda da Vin com muuuuita facilidade) e eu realmente quero ver ela em outras histórias.
Brandon Sanderson tem uma capacidade fora de série para criar sistemas de magias. Todos eles são únicos e bem embasados (como toda a questão da plausibilidade). Gosto do fato de que ele sempre tenta ser o mais dedicado possível no processo de worldbuilding, sempre buscando inovação. Dessa vez, ainda em Sel (o mundo de Elantris), somos apresentados a Shai, uma jovem que acaba de ser pega tentando roubar um cetro do palácio imperial, e a sua arte de Forgery. Mais uma ótima estória do Brandon Sanderson. Gostei muito do sistema de magia. Estou ficando mal acostumada com a escrita dele... está ficando difícil ler livros de fantasia de outros escritores.
