I'd say this leaned towards a 3.5 for me...a good survival story that reveals the horrors of a real natural disaster while also showing how people help one another. The characters were interesting and two stories intersected half way through. The descriptions of the tsunami destruction were vivid and the relationships the kids faced seemed believable. I went 3.5 because I felt there were some instances where the author's plot seemed linked by too many coincidences that just seem plausible. All i
