What Members Thought
Pelecano's first book, and the first of the "nick stefanos mystery" series. His early work is especially for readers who like good, tough detective fiction AND have an interest in, or at least a past or current fascination with, early-to-mid era punk and hard pop music/culture (although mentioned, the skinhead angle is not thoroughly explored in this book). The author was/is clearly an late 70s/early 80s music baby, gushing forth every few pages with his main character's love for the replacement
