After James Frey and that woman that got busted at the 11th hour for almost publishing a fake memoir about being a foster child in LA, I had some healthy skepticism about this book. I think that's the reality of memoir today. I don't want to enter that debate with this review, but after all that Felicia Pearson has gone through, you felt at times like you were being played a bit. She's a survivor and you are aware of what it takes to survive where she came from.
