What Members Thought
The fact that I only liked this book has no bearing on its literary merit, which is great. The poetry is excellent, which is attested to by the fact that this was short listed for the National Book Award. It just wasn't the book for me. There are about a half dozen poems that I dog-eared, that I really liked, but the rest, especially the high concept poems, left me cold. But that is just me. As I said, empirically, these are great poems, they just weren't a match with my current sensibility.
