🖤🖤Dark Mafia Romance 🖤🖤

I've been itching for another Tijan read for a while now and let me tell you, this one came right when I needed it and was everything I hoped and more. I had no doubt that I was going to love this book and Tijan did not disappoint. I believe this one is even better than her previous mafia novels with a lot more darkness, bloodshed and emotional turmoil.

Wow. That is not even an adequate enough of a word to describe how this book left me. Canary is not like any other mafia book by Tijan, Raize takes hot, alpha mafia killer to the EXTREME! Canary had me on the edge of my seating, gripping the pages until I reached the end, which left me wanting more of Raize. Let me start off by saying I’m a big Tijan fan and have loved nearly all of her books, sadly this book wasn’t one of them. Canary just doesn’t seem like the authors usual writing style, I couldn’t connect with the characters and I definitely didn’t feel a connection between Raize and Ash not even a slither. The plot was good but I needed more when it came to the characters and at times it often felt rushed.

This book could of been a full length Cartel movie with the way it was described and played out in my head. There was a lot going on and a lot of moving parts and people but that just added the mystery and the fast pace of this book.

I ended up buying the audiobook for this one and it turned out really good. His voice sounded great when normally the man’s voice is terrible. The storyline was a little crazy and it took me a little while to get into it but the book was really good. Loved hearing about their family they made at the end. Normally they end the book after they get pregnant.
