Addison Bowman had just gone through the worst that life could throw at her when she witnessed her husband die in a horrendous car accident, and then had to move out of her home because she was, in her mind, haunted by his spirit. She moved into an amazing new apartment at The Mauricio. The space was the entire third floor that over looked the busy downtown area, but was still very private and secure even though it was at the center of it all.

A bit soft
For a mafia book and one that follows Carter Reed, this story seemed a bit soft. Yes there is still the killer instinct but it lacked intensity and the drama of the the mafia lifestyle. I enjoy Tijan's books but this one appeared a bit rushed and the ending could have given a bit more closer. ...more

Definite Re-Read material !
"Its not a mafia story, it's a love story"
This story was everything I wanted and everything I didn't know I wanted. I loved how it wasn't like Carter Reed. It wasn't really about the mob and all the shady business or the murders and dealings but about Cole and Addison being together and finding love. It was phenomenal. Another great original story by one of my favorite authors.
And I'm app I excited there will be a Carter Reed 3 !!! ...more
