I absolutely adored this book. It took me on emotional roller coaster that's for sure. Faye is probably one of my all time favorite characters. She had me laughing out loud every time she popped up. That girl needs her own book. Liz & Tristan don't have a ordinary love story but it is a amazing one. That's what makes this book so special. This is a MUST READ! ...more

Both Tristan and Elizabeth are broken characters who are trying to move on with their lives. Well, Elizabeth is trying to move on for the sake of her daughter, but Tristan is at a stand still. Elizabeth meets Tristan by chance and their first encounter is awful, Tristan is not warm or receptive at all but Elizabeth sees a man who is hurting deeply. He continues to be cold and mean towards her afterwards. They are now neighbors, too, so it's difficult for them to completely avoid each other, not ...more

Shelves: tattoo

It was my first time reading this author and I think I loved the way the author showed pain. Both Liz and Tristan have lost the dear ones and how they both have lived the past one year in grief was wonderfully shown. They find each other and connect in this grief.
I loved Tristan - from his unique tattoos to the way he could love. His sassy banter with Liz's dayghter Emma was also very cute.

Holy emotional rollercoaster. This book is amazing. I cried big old ugly tears. I laughed so hard I cried. This story is one of tragic loss and finding the person and strength to over come it. Faye is freakin hilarious. Emma is funny and exciting. Tristan stole my heart. Elizabeth loves with her whole heart and see only good in everyone. This is a must read.
