Intensely and bittersweet beautiful. I wish every medical professional, especially doctors, would read this. Life is beautiful. Life is painful. Life is beautiful.
Kalanithi does an excellent job of providing background of himself and his search for a connection between being a scientist/doctor and a human being. Then progresses us through his diagnosis with cancer and the dilemma of deciding who you are at the end. His wife shares an epilogue which brought me to tears.
