A fantastic and brutal read

I had just finished reading All the Ugly and Wonderful Things, the went on to read Educated.
Reminds me that as difficult it can be for some to read these sort of books, people really live these lives.
While one is fiction and the other is true. Life can be pretty gritty. It doesn't make the story wrong.
We don't all grow up in white bread suburbia with 2 parents who care about us, or with all the security that living in America is thought to provide.

Absolutely impossible to put down. One of my favorite non-fiction books in a long time. Reads like fiction with the shock value of knowing that it’s real. I look forward to more from this author.

This was a great book! I loved reading about Tara’s experiences and how she began questioning things she had been taught as a child. It reminded me of The Glass Castle. I definitely recommend this book!
