loved cussy mary's story, heartbreak and all. her desire to get just the right thing for each of her patrons on her book route was sweet and relatable, and her determination was so admirable. i'd never heard of these "blue" people before, and i'm super curious to read more about their lives. ...more

I really enjoyed this book because it had many layers of joy and a unique glimpse into Kentucky. Courageous librarians bringing books to the poorest and most forgotten people . Heartbreaking in many places but ultimately prevailing in a world to make a better place for the future💕💕💕
