man. i really really wanted to love this one. i put off reading it for so long because i expected it to be so amazing...so maybe it's my fault i was let down. i loved the atmosphere and the magic and the circus and the performers and the characters and the vivid descriptions of the sights and smells and sounds...but i think maybe i missed the point. and the plot. i just kept waiting for more information to be revealed, and it never was (or if it was, i missed it), and i found the relationship un ...more

It might seem strange to call a book with no pictures visually stunning, but The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern is just that. The circus that is created for Celia and Marco to compete in is so magically amazing. This book made me want to redecorate my house so that I could live in the idea of this cirucs. It was a beautiful book with many interesting characters. And, what's not to love about the idea of living in a magical world.
