If you want a love story, but you also want relatable characters with depth and a story with layers instead of fluff, then you must turn to Jojo Moyes. I hate contemporary romance, and if I'd know that's what this is (although so much more), I would have skipped it. So glad I didn't. A little contrived, sure, but definitely a good read and I had trouble putting it down even when it finally dawned on me the correct "genre". ...more
