First things first. I would open the letter, no question, no hesitation. It helps that Cecilia isn't like me because she didn't open the letter right away and the first half of the book was spent getting to know the women and trying to guess how they fit together.

Would you open a letter written to you by your still very much alive husband that says it should only be opened upon his death? That is the catalyst for all the events that unfold in The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty. I honestly don't have an answer to that question, but after reading this book, I would be so scared if I found one! Highly enjoyable, if unrealistic. Surprisingly not anticlimactic after the unveiling of the "secret". The ending rather flabbergasted a, though. There are some things that I cannot tolerate in a marriage and this would so be one of them.

I listened to the audio version of this book and I really liked it. Without giving anything away, I will say that I figured out fairly early on what the big secret was, but there was a twist at the end that I didn't see coming. I also enjoyed the epilogue a lot.
