What Members Thought

I was very intrigued by this book for two reasons: 1)I grew up in a small town in Iowa and 2)the book was a translation from Swedish to English (and I wanted to know if her perceptions matched my own experiences). Overall, it was an easy read. Reminded me a lot of Debbie Macomber's Blossom Street books. I got excited every time an Iowa city was referenced even though much of it was a little stereotypical. Small town life--well, maybe, somewhere. Chuckles and laughs throughout. Great love story, really.

Very slight plot with next to nothing happening page to page. Unfortunately, no sprightly dialogue to make the pages pass quickly. Just mediocre to me, but I feel that other readers, namely Romance readers, would probably enjoy it.
