What Members Thought
I really wanted to love this novel. Judy Blume is an amazing author of children and adult books. This one was simply too slow moving for me to fully immerse myself into the world she had created.
I enjoy fictional stories about real-life events that I may have never read about otherwise, and this does just that. I had never heard about the plane crashes that occurred at the Newark airport. I thought Blume did a good job of writing about the emotion that is involved with that devastation and the fear of the unknown. The story also included a lot of the turmoil the U.S. was experiencing with the Korean war and upcoming elections. There were a few too many characters to keep track of, but o
