What Members Thought
This book was great! I was up late many nights because I just couldn't put it down. I loved the way the story jumped from Avery to Rill, so it was actually like reading two stories that eventually combined into one. While this book is fiction, it's heartbreaking to know that it's based on real events. How horrible for those parents to go through that. It was also sad to hear that Ms. Tann never really had to face the consequences of her actions. It's awful to think that she was doing these awful

Dual timeline story about one family’s secrets. Heartbreaking and involving low income children being taken from their parents, this story (based on some true events) gave me all the feels.
Heartbreaking look at treatment of children taken from their families and adopted out to others.
Heartbreaking but really good.
