As my DH put it, this book wasn't written for me - a middle-aged mom of 2. While the 80's references were right up my alley, they really speak to a specific time period and group of people. I know next to nothing about most of the games they talk about, but enough to get the gist.

I truly loved this book. I read it through in one sitting. I was absolutely delighted by all of the 80's references, which is the decade that I grew up in. I was shocked to found that how much I enjoyed the video game aspect of the book. The riddles and quests are so well done that I found myself forgetting that I am not a gamer. In fact,the riddles and the quests were reminiscent of Indiana Jones to me, except set in the 80's and much, much nerdier(you didn't think there were things much nerdie

Highly recommended. It's a book that's hard to describe, so even if it doesn't sound like the kind of book you might like, read the prologue and see if you're interested enough to continue.
