The fact that I read this over a span of 3 days doesn't tell the whole story. I read 25% of it in one sitting, was busy the next day, and finished the rest in one bleary-eyed session that technically took 2 days since I finished around 3 a.m.

I found myself intrigued and at the end dissatisfied but not unpleasantly so. Very Gothic in tone.
It was intriguing. I wanted to get to the end to understand more of what happened in the past or would happen. It ended very much like The Haunting of Hill House which saying it did not explain anything.
I gave it 2 stars for keeping me intrigued. Her writing is good though.
