Well that was indeed peculiar…
While with an interesting premise and creepy photos, I found the story difficult to get into because of the main character. Jacob is annoying, whiny, and bratty, and his only redeeming quality is the relationship he has with his grandfather. Wow. I'm surprised. Very. And not in a good way. What happened!? I was truly enjoying this book at the beginning but now I know it was because my wrong high expectations. I was expecting this book to be so good that I thought I was truly enjoying it but when I was in the middle of finish it, I completely changed my mind and realized I was not enjoying it.
