Holy shit. One of the best books ever written to understand how currencies, money, the economy, and the world works.
This book was already released in 2017 and I never bother to read it then, because I thought the book mostly talks about the technical fundamentals behind Bitcoin. I had already familiarized myself with that, and I thought I could skip this book. Big mistake. If you already know Bitcoin, don't skip this book.

Fascinating reading!
It is a unique book about bitcoin in the sense that it does not explain how it works but justifies its economic relevance. It starts by retracing the history of currency, from stones to fiat moneys, through why gold succeeded while silver failed.
It then explains how society has moved to unsound money, money printed by central banks, before discussing the bitcoin. I definitely recommend this book.

The book is about the history of money, starting from trading sea shells up to today and the arrival of digital currencies. Only a fraction of the book is spent on bitcoin, which was a disappointment considering the title.
I was expecting a book similar to the price of tomorrow from Jeff Booth. Instead I felt like reading up on a history book aimed for primary school. The book is long winded and the arguments are one sided.
