I came across this book because I fell down the rabbit hole of looking at the different audiobooks read by this narrator (Scott Brick).
And, woah. I couldn’t put this down! I think it is so fascinating to hear about someone changing their mind. That liminal space in which you have cognitive dissonance, where something has to give. Either you will reject the new idea or change completely.

A remarkable story that I'll be thinking about for a long, long time. I don't think I could have been one of the students who reached out, but I also don't think Derek was a typical white nationalist. I'm so glad I read this book!

Derek Black was part of a "blended" family. His father, Don Black, started Stormfront, a white nationalist website and was Grand Wizard of the Knights of the KKK.
