I am delighted to be done with this book.
Things I liked:
1. It's a good story. This kept me reasonably entertained for a few days; I always enjoy a political thriller full of double and triple crosses and plot twists. I couldn't wait to find out what would happen next (even though I was constantly annoyed by the sexism).
2. Good pacing; the plot rarely got bogged down with too much detail.

I'm usually not into more than 500 pages books but this was one of the exceptions. It is a very well written book with an interesting story , likable characters and everything for me fitted in place.

This put me through an emotional wringer! At first it was a bit of a slog, and the detective story didn't really draw me in. Some reviewers call this a space opera. And that fits well. Although the characters make their divisions between origin lines—Earthers, Martians and belters, much of the conflict is class-based—workers vs. corporations. A threat from outside the solar system shows up and war starts within the system. The detective and the now-captai

This was a library book I checked out to participate with the Sword and Laser group. Good enough I will probably go out and buy a copy. Mankind has settled the moons around our outer planets. Corporations run things for the most part on these outlying posts. Millions of people have never been to Earth or Mars. And then war breaks out. But is it war or a cover-up for something bigger?

Fantastic space opera with interesting characters, interplanetary politics and some great space battles. I haven't enjoyed a book this much in quite awhile. Looking forward to book #2.
