I'm a fan of dog-narrated fiction.
This novel is narrated by Bella, a large mixed-breed dog.
As a puppy, Bella was raised by a "mother cat" and so is friendly with felines.
Bella goes on a long-distance far-reaching quest with three goals in mind:
1) to be reunited with "her human," Lucas (and one of his "treats" like "a tiny piece of cheese"),
2) to locate enough food to keep her going, and
